Pumpkin Delight

This is C. with his pumpkin b/f the cutting began. Before Daddy worked on the scented potporri pumpkin we estimated how much the pumpkin weighed and then weighed it and then we estimated how many inches around it is and then measured it. Both of those gave C. opportunities to use two things he loves but doesn't normally get to play around with. The scale and my measuring tape for sewing! :)

This is Daddy working w/C. on cleaning the pumpkin out and then getting ready to use a corer to make holes on the side of the pumpkin. Which I might add, this is something I had Adam do w/me way back b/f we were dating. We had gone apple picking together (as friends, despite what everyone else says!) and I had seen this idea in my Martha Stewart magazine and really wanted to do it so he obliged. Now, here he is about 6 yrs. later doing it with our son! How fun! :)
Finished product. You just sprinkle some cinnamon on the inside of the lid and you can poke cloves in there as well if you want. Then add a tea light and it will smell AMAZING!
