Polar Bear, Polar Bear
We are slowly beginning our unit on Polar Bears. So far we have picked out several books from the library about Polar Bears. One is "Polar Bear, Polar Bear" by Bill Martin Jr. I have a little book I plan to make to accompany this book. I did one before based on "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." After I get it done I will post a picture so you can make one as well if you want to. :) Also, I'm going to cut out some big "polar bear" paw prints and put them outside of Carter's bedroom door so that when he wakes up one morning they will be there to lead him to a polar bear station where he can do some fun learning about polar bears....still working on what all will be at that station. I'll keep you posted! Tonight we read a few books about polar bears and jotted down facts that Carter found to be interesting. I will type these all up for him and then maybe make a book about everything we learned about polar bears. I did finally find a few more ideas on-line. I plan to do some of those also and will let you know about those as I accomplish them with Carter. If you have any ideas out there feel free to pass them on to me as well! :)
